Roullete Basics

Roullete is a casino game that features a spinning wheel and a betting table. Players can choose to place a bet on a single number, various groupings of numbers, the color red or black, whether a number is odd or even, and more. The dealer gives players time to place their chips before the wheel spins and the ball drops.

The roulette wheel consists of a solid wood disk slightly convex in shape and with thirty-six compartments painted alternately red and black (on European-style wheels, a 37th compartment is green and carries the sign 0; on American-style wheels two green compartments – one for 0 and one for 00 – are on opposite sides). The wheel has an oblong hole in the middle where the ball is dropped.

There are several types of bets you can place on the roulette table: Inside Bets and Outside Bets. Inside bets are placed directly on the numbers on the table and typically have higher payouts but lower odds of winning. Outside bets are placed on larger groups of numbers that cover less of the table and generally have smaller payouts but better odds of winning. There are also Special bets, including the Column and Dozens bets.
